Project 1 - The Skin Clinic

The Hillcrest Medicross is expanding to include a facility for a cosmetic dermatologist, called the [Skin Aesthetic] Clinic. The expansion is to broaden the range of services offered at the hospital. Cosmetic dermatology is considered a group of treatments to enhance one’s personal appearance. The treatments are focused on imperfections, especially on the face. Treatments offered include chemical peels, wrinkle fillers, microdermabrasion and laser resurfacing. Clients consult the resident dermatologist for guidance on appropriate treatments. In addition, the clinic has a range of skincare products which will form part of the clinic in the form of a Skin Care Bar where mini facials and demonstrations of a healthy skincare routine will be presented by skilled therapists. The [Skin Aesthetic] Clinic requires an interior environment that reinforces a scientific and clinical mood, but also one of fragility.
