Project 2 - Wahooz Restaurant

Wahooz on the Promenade is a 250 seated casual beach facing restaurant and bar offering a wide variety of cooling cocktails and delicious platters to share or a top quality hamburger for the individual. With the most amazing views of the Indian Ocean, Wahooz lends itself to a more relaxed environment. Additionally the weekend and holiday live music always draws a crowd to enjoy a relaxed afternoon. While the guests who are attracted to Wahooz vary, the main target market is the 25 – 40 year old age group. In addition to servicing the promenade, Wahooz also services the Water park in terms of Fast Food and beverages (both alcoholic and non)
While being directly on the Ocean is a spectacular location, it comes with its disadvantages in that the wear and tear through sun, wind and salt air is constant and results constant maintenance. Further the operation at Wahooz is very weather dependant as not too many people brave the rain to come out to the beach.

The aim of the project is to give the restaurant a facelift in order to pick it up from its current rather dull form and transfer it to a top quality restaurant attracting guests from all walks of life. There is a lot of room to get creative in the project, however with that being said, there are certain restrictions which need to be adhered to:
- The promenade belongs to the City and therefore the floor of down stairs section of the restaurant cannot be changed
- The restaurant backs directly onto the water park, where we serve fast food to water park guests.
